Its here!!
Last night we saw US squeak past (yeah, I said it) Switzerland 3-1, Canada blank Norway, and Russia dump Latvia 8-2.
Tonight we see a whole new host of games. First up, Finland @ Belarus. Then, the game I've been waiting for, Sweden @ German (Gehen Sie Deutschland!), and lastly the Czechs and the Slovaks mixing it up.
This tournament is so exciting already. We getting into some closer games today and not so close to blowout-ville like we were scheduled for yesterday. Should be a fun one.
Louuu is coming over later and we're going to be sampling fine German meats and cheeses all day. German Sausage Chowder is cooking at home right now.. *grumble grumble grumble*

I'm just waiting for the medal round, haha. I love hockey and all but the blow-outs in international hockey are ridiculous!
Canada vs. USA will be phenomonal!

We're done with "Round 1" in a sense. Everyone has played a game. I'm interested to see how we stand after Round 2, actually. I wonder if the standings will look the same, or if it'll be shaken up a bit. And yeah, Sat/Sun is going to be AWESOME.

I'm waiting for Canada to get it together. Last night shouldn't have gone to shootout. I don't want us to get annihilated by US or Russia.

Or Czech Republic, Sweden, or Finland, hahaha.
Switzerland played more like Canada than Canada did, hahaha. They can't or won't hit.
Watching Belarus and Sweden right now but I'm not supposed to say anything since Schulz is recording it.

I am not a big hockey fan but I watch it sometimes, its different. What is up with the Canadien women and why isn't there a mercy rule like in women's olympic softball?
Preliminary Round Feb. 13 CAN 18 - SVK 0 Feb. 15 SUI 1 - CAN 10 Feb. 17 CAN 13 - SWE 1

I think the women's tourney is a little different than the men, but if this is the Preliminary Round, I can tell you that the Elimination Round is seeded by Points, followed by Goal Differential. +39 is pretty good.....

Women's hockey is brutal. Two teams compete...USA and Canada. I think the other countries just don't have the funding for women's hockey.
Super Sunday today! Russia vs. Czech Republic, Canada vs. USA, and Finland vs. Sweden! All should be awesome games.

No matter how hard Schulz was cheering, Canada beat Germany pretty bad 8-2.
Also...why did Slovakia have so much trouble with Norway? I expected more out of them.
