As some of you know, I have been having great difficulty connecting with others. However, I did some research and found a solution that worked for me and may work for you all. From what others have posted on other boards, the Wii connects the best when the wireless router/access point has an IP in the 192.168.2.xxx range. I gave my router a Static IP of 192.168.2.XXX, and suddenly my connection was far more reliable.
Hope this helps others that have been having connection issues!

I edited this because I didn't think that you'd want some weirdos finding your IP address.

Well, that static IP address is only a local one. It's not like anybody can reach my computer using that IP address.

I'm sure I'm jinxing myself by even posting this, but without changing any settings, I've had a far more reliable EA Nation connection lately. I've probably played about 20 games since my last disconnect (I used to get disconnected about once every 3-5 games), and I can now connect to my opponent about 90% of the time. I'm wondering if EA finally started to fix some of the major EA Nation issues on the Wii.

I'm also noticing that the lag is a lot better...I'm actually able to complete more than 2 passes a game and run where I want to go before I get hit most of them. It makes for some great games.

Its funny you mention that Dan. Last week was probably my worst week as far as disconnecting. I received 4 losses in four days due to EA kicking me off. Prior to that I could play numerous games without disconnecting. I guess EA can only give a certain number of people online with good connections at a time . They probably traded my connection with yours:). I would agree however that it does appear that I am connecting to opponents a little better recently when selecting 'play now'. My only frustration is once I am connected, 50% of the people I am matched up with leave the team selection screen after about 3 seconds .

Odello was a legit number 1. But as many of you know the top 1000 on all systems is full cheaters, cheesers, and glitchers.
