I'm actually very excited for the Raiders this year.
Before the season opener against the Chargers last Monday, I actually believed that they could do it this time! They ALMOST beat the Chargers but it just didn't happen but things are looking up. If Russell learns how to be accurate then the Raiders may go .500 this year. They do play some tough teams though...Dallas, Pittsburgh, Giants, Philadelphia, etc.

I don't see Russell going anywhere...I haven't seen him play much tbh but from what I know I think he will flop out in a few years. The Raiders won't be terrible this year though, I think you should definitely be optimistic about them
But my Eagles are going to absolutely wreck...I was a bit worried about their defense, losing key guys (Brian Dawkins especially) but now I'm glad that they got him off their hands before he declined... but yeah their defense was the only question mark and they completely OWNED the Panthers, that game was not even fair... until they put Kevin Kolb in. I HATE the guy. I REALLY hope that he fails tomorrow against the Saints, he is so TERRIBLE! On the Yahoo fantasy rankings he is the second worst player in the entire NFL. He is THE WORST, and I have no idea why Andy Reid insists on keeping him the second string when Vick is eligible to play. I never saw Kolb play in college, supposedly he was actually decent (I don't believe that), but so far, he's been just DREADFUL in the NFL. What I'm hoping is that he totally sucks tomorrow, and hopefully the Eagles defense keeps the game relatively close, the Eagles bring in Jeff Garcia and just WRECK and come from behind
But seriously, if Kolb flops tomorrow, Vick BETTER be second string QB. Or Garcia even, if they want to keep Vick as just some kind of utility player.
Other than that I think the Eagles are going to go far. Like I said, I think the Eagles only question mark was the defense, and they just OWN. Their offensive attack is stellar. I don't know what could go wrong. (Besides them taking a beating tomorrow, thanks to Kevin Kolb)

Hey man, don't count that guy out yet. A lot of great QBs are discovered as a result of starting a game after riding the pine. Steve Young. Bernie Kosar. Frank Reich. And more recently, Matt Cassel. Heck, this guy would still be a backup with no experience if it weren't for stupid Tom Brady getting hurt. Now he's starting in KC. And back to your Eagles; Rodney Peete was a backup for the LONGEST time.
Man, don't you miss the early 90s? *sigh*
I'll be back to talk about the Bills after Week 2 games are finished, haha.

Oh, I'm certainly ready to count him out now. He threw 3 picks, two of which were just absolutely bone-headed moves on his part.
But the defense didn't give him any help I suppose. He did throw for 350+ yards. My statements were a little strong, I'll admit, lol. But man, that guy pisses me off, he can't even throw a spiral. He was responsible for 3 turnovers, 2 of which led to TD drives by the Saints, and the other was the last play of the game... a pick on the last play of the game! They were down by 4 touchdowns, he could have just thrown the ball away.... *sigh* he needs work on accuracy, that's for sure.

Cut him some slack. The Saints are NASTY this year. I'm feeling pretty good about the Bills this season; they kept the game SO much closer on Monday than they though, and they won by two scores today. That doesn't happen much in Buffalo.
But yeah, those New Orleans Saints come into town next week. Should be an adventure..

So...even with all the 3 and outs, the Raiders still won today.
I don't know how! I don't know what they need to do with Russell. He's horrible.

Obviously the Eagles see something in him that I don't see, because they will leave him out there for the start next week if McNabb does not heal. ... *sigh*

Yeah yeah, truly! --And when is Vick ready to go? You don't think they'll use him over Kolb as soon as possible? Why else did they sign him??

They are still starting Kolb in Week 3, when Vick is eligible to play. But Vick hasn't played football since 06, I respect that decision I suppose. I just hate Kevin Kolb.
