Just wondering out there, if any of you have ever collected and still have your collections? I still have my cards from 1978 - 1993 mostly baseball. I got rid of most of my common cards. I still have all the stars and rookies.

I actually have a lot of cards from the 80s that my dad gave to me. Baseball, football and hockey.
Many of them are full sets and pretty cool to look at! Most of the cards I still have are hockey cards but I collect Martin Brodeur cards for the most part. I have a few autographs and jersey cards.

I'm a packrat and I keep everything, ESPECIALLY collectibles. I have ALL of my sports cards (baseball/football) and they're packed away pretty well. Everything from about '86-'93 in baseball, and about '91-current in football. I have a few older and newer cards here and there, but its mostly in those years.
I haven't been a nutso football card collector in a while. I do get a yearly team set of both the Bills and the Orioles though. Funny that you ask; I actually just bought 3 grab boxes of baseball cards the other day. I had what looked like an '82 topps Cal Ripken Future Stars card (I just did some research and found that it might be a 2006 re-print..hmmm...). I only paid $5 for the box, and there looks to be about 3 inches worth of cards (what is that, like 100?). Should be fun.

I lost interest in the early to mid 90's, when they started coming out with the chase cards. Along with every manufacture putting out more than 3 different card sets. It got way to tough to get everything i wanted. I have Andre Dawson, Paul Molitor, Gwynn, Ripkin, Joe Carter, all their rookie cards. I got really big into the collecting in 1989, when i got my first job(well first two jobs). I was spending about 300 a week for about 9 months. My parents hated seeing me bringing in boxes and boxes of cards every friday. I fell in love with that 89 baseball upperdeck set. Im pretty sure i still have atleast 5 sets, one factory of it. Also, at one time i have 12 of those Ken Griffey Jr. Rookies from that set that "were" worth $200. Im afraid to even look to see how much they are now.

I once got a Kerry Colins Prime Time Rookie (1995 Skybox) card out of the pack worth $40 on a Christmas morning. Now I think its worth single digits.. *sigh*
My dad has two 1960 something Eddie Matthews rookie cards. Remember when Topps was it? Yeah, me neither, haha!
