Ugh, thats totally ridiculous.
Do you know how many people would be upset if their favorite player's likeness WASN'T in the game? People don't buy the game to play with "QB #7," they buy it to play as a guy/team with an actual name. The likenesses aren't dead on; how else are you supposed to know who everyone is if they don't have realistic heights and weights? I can't believe its even an issue.
Past that, how upset (without making this a race issue) do you think fans would be if one of their icons suddenly had a "palette swap" and was shown as a different race? I doubt Tim Tebow Gator fans would want to see a Michael Vick-esque guy out there (complete with speed! -- and are they supposed to offer different attributes, too? Should the unnamed Gators QB become a pocket passer instead of a scrambler?), or people who follow Navy; their Quarterback set the record for rushing TDs by a QB. What if he became a tall white dude? Hmm..
The whole thing stinks. People need to stop worry about who they should sue next.. Plus the game is awesome!
(If you didn't know, and i love to talk about it, I'm in the process of renaming my entire NCAA 2005 game in theme. Currently working on the Disney characters team.. Everyone is small...)
