Tearful goodbye to Buffalo's "Man of the Year"

ORCHARD PARK -- The Bills saw an emotional end of their season in the mountains of Denver, Trent Edwards intercepted with the game on the line. That single turnover ended the dream of WiiMFL postseason immortality, and pulled the plug on the greatest time to be a Buffalo Bills fan: The Coach 'Richie' Regime.
A 40 by 28 foot mural of Coach 'Richie' Jauron will forever hang in the Bills fieldhouse
"I'm touched by the letters fans have been sending me, the things the players have been saying. I..almost don't want to leave, but I feel that i have to. I just have to." Jauron announced towards the end of the year that this would be his last voyage with the Western NY team in a head coach role, and is now off to do something unrelated. He's shouldered the blame, but against the willing fans, he's forced himself to step down. "Wrigley has offered me a spot in their organization as a spokesperson, seeing what I can do here; doing so will give me an opportunity to help that organization..and continue to help this franchise in a roundabout way, raising the awareness of delicious Wrigley's Winterfresh gum."
Longtime owner Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. spoke next, teary-eyed. "This man...has reminded me...of why..I got into this thing in the first place. Coach..Richie..will always be..my friend." An emotional hug between the two was bathed in flashbulbs, a truly touching moment. "Richie....please know...that theres always a spot for you here...and in the heart of Buffalo." He ended by saying that replacements were being interviewed through the week, but noted that Jauron's shoes will be tough to fill.
And as with previous seasons, year-end individual player awards were also announced..
