Season 9, ready to go!
Whats old is new..again.
Mildly successful "Throwback Season" goes for two

ORCHARD PARK -- The WiiMFL is coming back one of its most exciting seasons, and an unpredictable playoff bracket that saw all 24 teams in action. The league has been scaled back a little bit, but the action promises to be equally intense.
Gone, temporarily, are the divisions that once housed rivalries, replaced for the time being with just two conferences: one representing the AFL, and another with classic NFL franchises. Many of the same players remain in place, so you can expect a lot more of the same.

The playoffs for this year have been toned down a bit as well. The original 1965 bracket saw the conference leaders play each other for the Championship, and that was it. The WiiMFL has adopted a similar plan, but implemented room for a Wild Card. The top team from each conference will receive a Bye, with the 2nd and 3rd seeds from each conference will duke it out to play the division leader. The winner of that 2nd game, of course, will advance to the WiiMFL Superbowl for a rather large bowl of chili.
With that, the stage it set, and the season is set for kickoff. The exciting schedule from last year has been replaced with more tepid fare, one that achieved success 45 years ago. Its a throwback to the throwback..
..And it all begins...tonight!
