I only have 1 1080P TV, a 52" MItsubishi DLP, the rest are 720P or older TVs. AT&T U-verse is my provider and the DVR use to have issues with HDMI cables, the upgraded it a month or so ago so I am playing with Component vs HDMI & 1080I vs 720P, I think its hard to really tell a difference but what do you guys think? www.hdsportsguide.com/cfb/I am tinkering per the game I am watching, it would be easier if they were all the same or at least the ones I want to watch are the same..

I've done a lot of research when it comes to the HD stuff and some people will swear by 720p over 1080i. It's really kind of complicated but this is how they work...
So the numbers 720 and 1080 represents the numbers of vertical lines the TV has to scan to create the picture. "i" means interlaced and "p" means progressive.
So 720p means it scans every single line and then back up to the top really fast to start again. 1080i means it scans every second line and then back up to the top and do the lines it missed really fast to create the picture. 1080p of course does all the lines and is the best.
Technically you could say 720p is better since you are seeing 720 lines at a time and with 1080i, you see 540 at a time, right?
Of course your eye can't really tell the difference between 720p and 1080i. It's just really what you feel like having it set at, I think, haha.
